SEE THE PERSON
Look beyond appearances, performance, and the words “I'm fine.”

THE LIGHTKEEPER
“No one gets left in the darkness alone.”
The Lightkeeper represents the part of Pain2Purpose Athletics that stays when the speeches are over and the room gets quiet. It is the promise to notice the person fighting silently, to make space for their truth, and to remind them that darkness is a chapter—not their final destination.
Being a Lightkeeper does not mean pretending one person can fix every problem. It means refusing to look away. It means listening without judgment, checking in when it would be easier to assume someone is fine, helping people find real support, and walking beside them until they can see their next step.
Look beyond appearances, performance, and the words “I'm fine.”
Do not abandon people simply because their battle is difficult or uncomfortable.
Connect people with community, trusted support, and professional care when it is needed.
Offer hope without empty promises and encourage the next honest, reachable step.
“Let me be clear, Pain2Purpose family: no one gets left in the darkness alone. As long as I am a Lightkeeper, I will guide this family through whatever they are fighting. That is my promise.”
WHY WE EXIST
Pain2Purpose Athletics exists to help people transform what hurt them into a reason to move forward.
We turn survival, discipline, and community into a movement where people are not defined by what happened to them, but by what they choose to build from it.
Pain is universal. It reaches every background, every body, and every kind of life. But Pain2Purpose Athletics believes pain does not deserve the final word. Purpose does not erase the past; it gives the past direction. It turns survival into service, discipline into confidence, and an individual comeback into a reason for someone else to keep going.
This brand began with apparel, but it was never meant to stop at clothing. Every piece is a visible reminder that the person wearing it has a story, a fight, and a future. Every message, training session, community gathering, and act of support should carry the same responsibility: lead honestly, inspire through action, motivate without judgment, create belonging, and serve something larger than ourselves.
PAIN MAY BE UNIVERSAL. SURRENDER IS NOT.
For the people walking into treatment, rebuilding after it, and standing beside someone they love through every uncertain day.
For anyone reclaiming their voice, their identity, and their future after life tried to take those things away.
For those facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, grief, or struggles the outside world cannot always see.
For the people carrying responsibility, sacrifice, and love at the same time while creating a stronger life for those who depend on them.
For those who train, compete, protect, heal, and serve—often while carrying weight that never appears on a scoreboard.
For the person who needs belonging before confidence and one honest reason to take the next step forward.
Go first, live the standard, and make the path visible for someone behind you.
Show people what rebuilding looks like through honest action—not empty perfection.
Challenge one another to keep moving when excuses, fear, and fatigue get loud.
Build a place where people are seen before they feel strong and welcomed before they feel ready.
Turn personal survival into support, presence, and real value for the wider community.

FROM PAIN TO PURPOSE
At 24, Eric Oliver faced non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The fight changed his body, his future, and the way he understood strength. Years of setbacks, injuries, and rebuilding followed—but surrender never became the ending.
Pain2Purpose Athletics was built from that truth: pain may be universal, but purpose is a decision made every day. This brand is Eric's promise to lead, inspire, and motivate others through whatever they are fighting.
“We do not hide from pain. We weaponize it.”
Eric Oliver Founder, Pain2Purpose Athletics
These images hold both sides of the story: the man fighting for his life in 2010 and the man rebuilt through years of discipline, setbacks, and purpose. The transformation is not about appearance alone. It is proof that survival can become a responsibility to help someone else keep going.

Cancer did not create a straight road from survival to strength. There were years of rebuilding, injuries, doubt, and starting again. Every return demanded a choice: let the pain become a prison, or turn it into something that could light the way for somebody else.
Pain2Purpose Athletics is what grew from that choice. The man in the mirror is not a before-and-after story—it is a reminder that the person you once were deserves to see how far you fought to come.
“I survived it. Then I built from it.”
PAIN2PURPOSE ATHLETICS / CORE TEAM
The Death Runners are the core team behind Pain2Purpose Athletics: Eric Oliver, Kiefah Rahmany, Jessie Oliver, Tyler Ostrander, and Gavin Novak. Eric leads the vision, Kiefah carries the message into the community, Jessie keeps product inventory accountable, Tyler represents the mission in the gym, and Gavin supports the marketing. Different responsibilities. One shared standard: show up, tell the truth, follow through, and reach back for the person beside you. We turn our own battles into work that helps others move forward. Every step with purpose. Every finish together.
THE NIGHTMAREEric stands with the team as The Nightmare, setting the direction for Pain2Purpose Athletics and carrying its mission into training, outreach, and the decisions behind the brand. His standard starts with his own effort: lead by example, listen to the people beside him, and build something the community can depend on.
MEMBER 01As Brand Outreach Lead, Kiefah Rahmany stands alongside founder Eric Oliver on the front lines of representing Pain2Purpose Athletics. He brings the mission into the community through personal connection, active promotion, and showing up in person.
Known as The Juggernaut, Kiefah proves that power is about more than the weight on the bar. It is the consistency to move forward when the work gets difficult and the character to carry the mission beyond yourself. His discipline and loyalty help people recognize the brand through the way he lives it.
MEMBER 02Jessie Oliver helps keep Pain2Purpose Athletics products organized and accounted for. She tracks inventory, maintains product counts, and supports the practical work behind each release.
MEMBER 03As Fitness & Brand Representative, Tyler Ostrander carries Pain2Purpose Athletics into the gym. He wears the product with pride and lets his training, character, and everyday actions show people what the mission looks like in practice.
Tyler earned his place on the core team through consistent, hands-on action. He shows up, supports the work, and proves that a title means the most when it is backed by presence, reliability, and service to the movement.
MEMBER 04Gavin Novak joins Pain2Purpose Athletics in marketing, bringing the discipline shaped by four years of high school wrestling and one year of collegiate wrestling. At 22 and fresh out of college, he brings a new perspective, a competitive mindset, and an understanding that meaningful progress is earned through consistency.
For Gavin, Pain2Purpose creates an opportunity for everyone involved to better themselves both physically and mentally. He believes that strengthening those two foundations can make the rest of life easier to face. Outside the movement, he enjoys fishing and cars; within it, he will help carry that message to more people and grow the reach of the brand.
The Vanguard is our ambassador program for people who live the mission and help others turn pain into purpose. Founding Athlete Ambassador
Isaiah “The Prophet” Guy marks a new chapter for Pain2Purpose Athletics as our first Athlete Ambassador—carrying the mission into competition.
With 39 amateur bouts behind him and his sights set on professional boxing, Isaiah joins a brand built around turning pain into purpose. We’re proud to support his journey and introduce our community to the athlete behind the gloves.
Lead. Inspire. Motivate.Isaiah “The Prophet” Guy is carrying the mission beyond his own journey—sharing his boxing knowledge with the younger crowd and helping the next generation grow. In his blue Pain2Purpose Athletics sweats, he puts the mission into practice.
Ambassador status cannot be purchased. It is an earned responsibility offered through invitation or selection to people who consistently live the mission. An ambassador is not part of the core operating team and cannot make contracts, collect payments, or speak for the business without direct approval.
Share the message honestly, wear the brand with pride, and let actions prove what Pain2Purpose stands for.
Encourage people, support community initiatives, and help make the first step feel possible for someone who needs it.
Communicate responsibly, share real experiences, disclose brand benefits clearly, and protect the trust behind the name.
The current Vanguard is represented by Deshawn Barfield and Tori Thomas, both Community Ambassadors. Deshawn carries the founding Ambassador 001 distinction, while Tori carries the mission forward as a Community Ambassador and September Member of the Month. Tyler Ostrander has transitioned into the core team and is no longer part of the active ambassador roster.
Deshawn holds a permanent place in Pain2Purpose Athletics history as Ambassador 001—the first number on The Vanguard ledger. His founding recognition reflects belief, brotherhood, and the responsibility to help ensure no one walks through darkness alone.
Tori stands in The Vanguard as an official Pain2Purpose Athletics Community Ambassador after being recognized as September Member of the Month. Her support from day one, the milestones she has earned, and the growth she continues to show embody what it means to turn pain into purpose.
Deshawn's place as Ambassador 001 is carried by more than a number. These moments show the standard in motion: finding a way to train wherever he is, bringing energy to the people beside him, and treating effort like a responsibility.
The work does not wait for a perfect room or a perfect hour. Deshawn finds a way to move—and pulls someone else into the standard with him.
Strength means more when it helps carry somebody else. Deshawn turns effort, brotherhood, and a little fun into visible proof of what The Vanguard represents.
